Pengertian Spoof Text dan Contohnya

Spoof Text - Salah satu text dalam bahasa Inggris yaitu Spoof Text. Text ini merupakan text yang menerangkan sebuah kisah Nyata, Terjadi di masa lalu dengan akhir yang lucu dan tidak terprediksi.



A. Definition and social function of spoof text

Spoof is a text which tells factual story, happened in the past time with unpredictable and funny ending. Its social function is to entertain and share the story.

B. Generic Structure of Spoof:

1. Orientation : (Who were involved in the story, where and when)
2. Events : (Tell what happened in choronogical order)
3. Twist : (Provide the funniest part of the story)

Susunan umum spoof text:
1. Orientation : Menerangkan pelaku, tempat dan waktu yang terlibat dalam text
2. Events : Menceritakan kronologi kisah yang telah terjadi
3. Twist : Mengungkapkan bagian yang terlucu di dalam cerita

C.Language Feature of Spoof text:

1. Focusing on people, animal or certain things
2. Using action verb, ate, ran, etc
3. Using adverbial of time and place (Two days ago, in the garden)
4. Using simple past tense (He picked up the telephone)

Example of Spoof Text:

Title "Michael"

Okay students, Listen to me. I have a good story. The story is about a boy named Michael. He was ten years old. He was not a very good pupil. Why? Because he didn't like doing his homework. What did he like then? Oh, he liked playing in his leisure time. He liked football very much. Do you know why he didn't like doing his homework? Because he always made a lot of mistakes when he did it. 

Well, One day his mathematica teacher looked at michael's homework and found that all his homework was correct. Wow, That's a good Job! Of course students, The teacher was very pleased and surprised. So, he called michael to his office and said to him, "Michael, You have got all your homework right this time. You are doing great. Well done, Michael. Did you father help you?"

"No, Sir" Michael said. "Usually my father did it for me. But, last night he was very busy. He had a meeting. So, he could not do my homework. Then, l had to do it by myself".

Analisis of the text:

Orientation : in the first Paragraph, The writer intoduced a person who was in the storystory
Events : in the second paragraph, the writer told the cronological order about the story
Twist : It happened in the last paragraph, the writer told the funniest and unpredictable in the story.
